A Passion Most Pure by Julie Lessman
Here's another one of the European romances being given away in the scavenger hunt.
This is the story of Faith O’Connor. She’s been in love with Collin McGuire since she was a little girl. When Collin’s father dies, shattering his dreams, he changes into a womanizing rogue. If only Faith could stop loving him, especially now that he’s courting her beautiful younger sister.
This plot takes so many twists and turns, you’ll never be bored, and you’ll get quite comfortable spending time with Faith’s big, warm, loving Irish family. I know I did! The characters in this book are so interesting, and so real, they made me want to be a better wife, mother, and Christian. I could hardly bear to put the book down and couldn’t wait to pick it back up again. I even stayed up late—which I never do!—to find out the ending. And what a satisfying ending it was!
I loved that this book was realistic and showed the realities of dating and attraction. I loved the strong lead character, Faith O’Connor, who stuck to her convictions no matter what, determined to do what God wanted. And believe me, there were consequences and rewards to that obedience, just as there are in real life. But the ending was perfect. Now I can’t wait to read Julie Lessman’s next book! I miss the characters!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes romance and/or family sagas.
