How I Got "The Call"

Hi! I'm on Keli Gwyn's blog, Romance Writers on the Journey, where I'm telling my "Call Story" of how I found out The Healer's Apprentice was getting published. Laughing and jumping up and down is involved. Come by and say hello.

New Article about Young Adult (YA) books

Here's a link to an article in the L.A. Times about YA books. It calls YA fiction "a phenomenon" and attempts to explain why adults are increasingly drawn to the Young Adult genre. Books like Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak are being read by teens as well as adults.

Anyway, I'm really excited that The Healer's Apprentice is being published as a YA, the genre that is doing better in this slow economy than any other genre.

I'm on Keli Gwyn's blog

I'll be on Keli Gwyn's blog, Romance Writers on the Journey,
next Saturday, March 20th, telling my "Call" story--how I found out that my first book was accepted for publication--for the first time. I hope you will join me! Keli's blog is really great and she does a lot of giveaways of free stuff! I'll be giving away a copy of my book, The Healer's Apprentice, when it comes out, to one lucky commenter, so come check it out next Saturday.

I've Been Outed!!! And New Website

I've been outed!!! My historical romance, young adult book, The Healer's Apprentice, is available for pre-order right now on and!!!

If you want to pre-order it, it's actually cheaper at Christianbook, I don't know why. And apparently it's coming out in September instead of October, which I'm really happy about!

AND I have a new website,, that is really awesome, if I do say so myself. I have website guru Tracy Ruckman to thank for it. THANKS, TRACY!!! Tracy is also a professional editor and her prices are reasonable if you're in the market for a critique.

Thanks for basking in the joy with me! LOL
