It is my pleasure to host suspense and mystery author Susan Sleeman!

Here’s a brief summary of her new book Silent Sabotage:

Emily Graves left everything behind to save her aunt's struggling bed-and-breakfast, but she's hardly through the door before she's the one who needs saving. Someone in Bridal Veil, Oregon, will go to any lengths—even murder—to keep her from making the B and B a success. Sheriff's deputy Archer Reed has made it his personal mission to bring down the culprit. But first he has to convince Emily to accept his protection…and determine why anyone would want to harm her. As Emily's unknown enemy becomes increasingly violent, Archer may be the only person who can keep her alive.

And here is Susan Sleeman:
My Life Outside of Writing

When I am not writing, I have two favorite things to do. Reading is my first love, but right up there on my fav list is gardening. Both flower and vegetable gardening. I love spending time outside, seeing God’s handiwork as the flowers unfurl and the seeds sprout to produce organic fruits and vegetables for my family. Outwitting squirrels who steal my first tomatoes and strawberries of the year and the birds who think I have planted raspberries and blueberries just for them. And I also just plain love digging in the dirt. Maybe I didn’t get enough of it as a child. LOL

And I enjoy trying out new varieties. These purple tomatoes are just like God’s jewels in the garden.

Here are a few of my favorite flowers from my garden this summer.

We have only lived in our current house about a year and so in the spring, my husband built lovely gardens bed for me. It took him many weekends to build the beds and then to fill them with healthy soil, and finally to cover the path with gravel. Here’s a picture taken early in the summer. Didn’t he do an amazing job?

And last, but most important to me, is sharing my love of gardening with my daughter and my grandson seen here picking his annual pumpkin from Nana’s little pumpkin patch.

Melanie here. Thank you, Susan, for sharing your beautiful garden with us!
